Brian James Sorrell, a resident of the Prague community, passed away at his home in Prague on August 2, 2022 at the age of 41. Brian was born on October 28, 1980 in Montrose, Colorado to Alvin Sorrell and Corrine Reid Gaily. Brian spent his adult life as a self-employed construction worker. He married Jennifer Ann Berck Sorrell on November 9, 2015 in Prague, Oklahoma. Brian is preceded in death by his grandmother Naomi Gordon, grandmother Darlene Hughes and his grandfather, Don Hughes. He is survived by his wife Jennifer Berck Sorrell; his father, Alvin Sorrell of Checotah; his mother, Corrine Gaily of Marshall, Arkansas; Sons, Daylamian Sorrell and longtime partner, Tynie, of Tulsa, Ryan Mundell of McAlester, Jacob Berck of Prague, and Joe Maher of Prague; Daughters, Jaleah Berck, Janeill Watts and husband John Watts of Shawnee, Jileena Veale of Shawnee; Son-in-law Frank Null of Wewoka; Sister Sabrina Reid of Clinton, Arkansas; Brother, Andrew Reid of Arkansas; many special cousins, 12 very adored grandchildren, as well as a host of extended family and many treasured friends. Brian was a devoted husband, father and grandfather, and a beloved son and brother. Brian will be missed by the many friends and family that cherished him. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 13, 2022, at 4:00 pm at the McElyea & Owens Memorial Center on 5110 N. Harrison Street, Shawnee, Oklahoma. Services have been entrusted to McElyea & Owens Funeral Group of Shawnee.
