David Aaron "Skinny" Kinney, a resident of Shawnee, passed away on Sunday, December 10, 2023 following a tragic auto accident in Shawnee at the age of 44. David was born on January 29, 1979 in Midwest City, Oklahoma to Larry Kinney and Brenda (Short) Ulekowski. David attended school and graduated from high school in Anderson, Missouri. David worked as a tree trimmer during his life. He loved to play video games, listen to music, and play with his dog "Oreo". He is preceded in death by his father, Larry Kinney; his daughter, Haley Kinney; and his maternal and paternal grandparents. David is survived by his mother, Brenda Ulehowski of Shawnee; by his daughter, Kourtney Tooman of Bethany; by his sister, Tristan Vandiver and husband Rick Vandiver of Green Forest, Arkansas; by other extended family and many good friends. Arrangements are under the direction of McElyea & Owens Funeral Group of Shawnee.
