Josey D. Miller of Shawnee, Oklahoma, passed away on October 22, 2023, in Shawnee, Oklahoma, at the age of 69 years old.

He was born on December 20, 1953, in Talihina, Oklahoma, to late parents Alec Dixie and Irene C. Miller. Josey was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He attended and graduated Shawnee High School in 1973, where he met the love of his life and children's mother Juanita Miller. They met in 1972 and married in the same year, they were married for 51 years this year. He was a carpenter, built bridges, construction worker, and tech mill operator.

He was preceded in death by his father, Alec Dixie Miller and Mother, Irene Cornelius Miller; his brothers, Bill, Alan, George and Hoss: and  his sisters, Francis, Marty, and Katherine.

He is survived by his wife Juanita of the home; his two sisters, Karen of Shawnee and Hood of Shawnee; his daughters, and sons, Deana of Shawnee, Jeana of Shawnee, Josiah of Shawnee, Amauh and husband Frank Thorpe of Shawnee, and Bessie and husband Aaron Long of North Carolina; grandchildren, Bobby, Dystany, Blake, Herschel, Quentin, Okoske, Cameron, Lillian, Roy, Gage, Hunter, Nina, Joselyn, Bella, Jaci, Orion, Maximus, Stanlee, and Isreal all of Shawnee, great grandchildren, Nevaeh, Etta, Hendrix, Olivia, Marley, Jayden, Alana, Leah, Marceline, Josiah, Amaris all of Shawnee; and other relatives.
