Bruce Edward Roton

Bruce Edward Roton of Shawnee passed away on April 17, 2023, in Oklahoma City at the age of 65 years.

Bruce Edward Roton was born on January 24, 1958 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He was the son of Gerald and Evelyn (Welch) Roton. He was raised in Stillwater, Oklahoma, where he attended Stillwater Public Schools, graduating from Stillwater High School in 1977. He furthered his education at a trade school. Following his education he began his career in heavy equipment, later he was a maintenance supervisor for the housing authority in Stillwater, Ponca City and Fort Smith, Arkansas. He then became a cable installer for Cox and Vyve Communications. He married Heather Styers on June 22, 2013, Cleveland, Tennessee, and they made their home in Shawnee. He enjoyed playing dominos, listening to music, watching television ministries, his boston terrier puppy, and loved spending time with his family especially his grandchildren. 

He was preceded in death by his father, Gerald Roton; and one brother, Jeffrey Roton.

He is survived by his wife, Heather Roton of Shawnee; his mother, Evelyn Roton of Florida; two sons, Michael Roton of Stillwater, Oklahoma, and Dr. Daniel Roton of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; two stepsons, Garrett Skinner, and Dillon Skinner of Stillwater, Oklahoma; three siblings, Ronald Roton and wife Vicky of Virginia, Lori Lovelady of Grove, and Vicki Hernandez and  husband Calvin of Stillwater; two grandchildren, Vivienne Roton, and Harper Roton of Oklahoma City;  father in law and mother in law, Floyd Styers Jr and Della Styers of Shawnee; one sister in law, Fransis Thompson and husband Jess of Shawnee; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. 

Family will have a luncheon at 1:00 pm on Saturday, April 29, 2023,  at the  McElyea and Owens Event Center.  

A celebration life is scheduled for 2:30 pm Saturday, April 29, 2023, at the McElyea and Owens Event Center.
