Carolyn Sue Martin

Carolyn Sue Martin of Shawnee, Oklahoma, passed away on Saturday, April 26, 2025, in Shawnee, Oklahoma. She was born in Fort Worth, Texas. She was the daughter of Ralph and Elizabeth (Blakley) McGill. She grew up in Oklahoma City, where she attended Oklahoma City Public Schools and graduated from Oklahoma City Public School. She worked as an LPN. In 2000 She moved to Shawnee. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, JoAnn Thurston; and two brothers, Eugene McGill, and Billy Wayne McGill. 

She is survived by two daughters, Carolyn Christine Misuraca and husband Clay Betts, of Tulsa, Oklahoma Denise Nelson of Texas; one son, David Howk of Miami, Oklahoma; one sister, Barbara Nugen of Shawnee, Oklahoma; brother, Dennis McGill of Wellston, Oklahoma; two grandchildren, Aaron Howk of Hinton, Oklahoma, and Emily Nelson of Texas;
