Daniel Lewis Baysinger of Norman, Oklahoma, passed away on February 22, 2023, in Norman at the age of 78 years.
Daniel Lewis Baysinger was born on June 30, 1944, in Fredonia, Kansas. He was the son of Fredrick Lewis and Julia Marie (Mikesell) Baysinger. He grew up in Fredonia, Kansas attending public schools in the Fredonia area, he then furthered his education at Emporia State University, receiving his bachelor’s in fine arts, while in college he met Nancy June Blackwell and they married on August 22, 1968, they made their home in Wichita, Kansas, Madison, Alabama, and in 1993 they moved to Norman, Oklahoma. He was an embedded Computer Programmer at Boeing for over thirty years and retiring in 2014. He enjoyed making pottery, guns, computers, sail boats and science fiction.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife Nancy Baysinger of the home, one son, Geoffrey Lewis Baysinger and wife Darien of Bremerton, Washington; one daughter, Jennifer June Baysinger of Norman; two grandchildren, Willow Allen of Norman, and Atlas Baysinger of Norman.
In Lieu of Flowers the family has requested memorials be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
