Darlene K. (Stanford) Aughenbaugh

Darlene K. (Stanford) Aughenbaugh, a resident of Shawnee, was born on August 11, 1949 in Kansas City, Kansas to Darrell Stanford and Opal (Yale) Stanford. She passed away on Monday, May 23, 2022 in Shawnee, Oklahoma at the age of 72.

Darlene was a loving daughter, sister, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and she will be dearly missed by her family and many good friends. Darlene married the love of her life, Oren H. Aughenbaugh, and they remained happily married until his death in 2017.

Darlene is preceded in death by both her grandparents, her mother and father, by her husband Oren, by her brother Marvin Stanford, and by her son, Jimmy Aughenbaugh.

She is survived by a daughter, Susan Aughenbaugh; 3 grandsons, Brad Setzer & wife Sarah of Shawnee, Damien Aughenbaugh & wife, Shana of Shawnee, and Devin Aughenbaugh of Oklahoma City; by 3 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be announced as soon as the time has been confirmed with the funeral home. Services have been entrusted to McElyea & Owens Funeral Group of Shawnee.
