Darrell Walter Treat of Earlsboro, Oklahoma, departed this life on June 12, 2022, in Earlsboro at the age of 72 years.
Darrell Walter Treat was born on December 17, 1949, in Shawnee, Oklahoma. He was the son of Walter Cleador and Emma Edith (Callies) Treat. Darrell grew up in Shawnee attending Shawnee Public Schools. Following his education, he entered the United States Army during Vietnam. Following his service he moved to California, New Mexico, and Virginia, where he was an interior Trim Carpenter. He later moved back to Oklahoma. He enjoyed motorcycles, fast cars and loved spending time with his family. He was a very kind and soft-spoken person, who will be missed by his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, LaDonna Wendt; and one brother, Ricky Treat.
He is survived by two sons, Brian Treat-Peck of Shawnee, and Chris Floyd of Tecumseh; four daughters, Christey (Treat) Reeves and husband Richard of Earlsboro, Jana Treat and husband John Weddle of Shawnee, April Robinson of Shawnee, and Jennifer Robinson of Shawnee; nine grandchildren, Isabella, Dara, Ashlyne, Tegan, Aunica, Jessie, Beckham, Aiden, and Alijah; one brother, Rex Treat; and three sisters, Diane Alderman, Linda Block, and Darla Enderess.
Visitation will be on Thursday, from 12:00 pm till 7 pm and on Friday from 8:00 am till 7:00 pm at the McElyea and Owens Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, June 18, 2022, at 2:00 pm at Temple Baptist Church, 1234 East Highland Street, Shawnee, Oklahoma. Services are under the direction of McElyea and Owens Funeral Group – Shawnee.
