David Wayne Reynolds

David Wayne Reynolds of Wellston, Oklahoma, passed away at his home surrounded by family and loved ones on Sunday, March 5, 2023, at 67 years young.

David Wayne Reynolds was born on January 1, 1956, to parents Ralph and Deloris Reynolds and was one of five children. After high school, David joined the Marine Corps and served as a Motor Transport Specialist before going on to join the Army as a Nurse. During his career as a nurse, David assisted in the delivery of 27 individual births, as well as one set of twins.

After retiring from his military career, David took up hobbies to fill his free time. He enjoyed being outside, gardening, camping, fishing, and riding ATVs and horses. David also liked to play cards, namely poker, and watch Star Trek. David never had children of his own, so he developed a special bond with many of his nieces and nephews. David loved his family dearly and is described as being one of the most kind, compassionate, generous, and giving people you’d ever meet.

David is preceded in death by his father, Ralph Reynolds, mother, Deloris (Hundley) Reynolds, and three brothers, Steven Reynolds, Mark Reynolds, and Robin Reynolds.

David is survived by his sister, Karen Coleman; brother, Terry Reynolds; nephews, Mathew Coleman, Josh Lomeli, Steven Reynolds, Trey Reynolds, and Jr. Reynolds; nieces, Meghan Hargriss, Karlee Gibbs, Elizabeth Gibbs, Stephanie Reynolds, and Cynthia Reynolds Orozco, as well as many great nieces and great nephews.

He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

David’s family has elected to hold a private memorial service, at their home, at a later date.
