Deborah Kay (Peters) McClendon

Deborah Kay McClendon competed this life's journey on January 18th, 2023, at the age of 71, surrounded by her husband Michael McClendon of 41 years and her family.
 

Deborah was born on November 29, 1951, to J.R. and Freda Peters of Shawnee, Ok. She was a lifetime member of Cornerstone Assembly Church in Shawnee Oklahoma.
Deborah graduated from Shawnee High School in 1970, and from Oklahoma Baptist University as a registered nurse and BSN in 1975 and worked at Oklahoma Orthopedic Specialist for 37 plus years. She was known as a loving, caring, and compassionate aunt and was dearly loved by her family, nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews and friends. Deborah was married to Michael McClendon on July 22, 1982.

She leaves behind her husband, Michael McClendon of the home, brother David Peters, his wife Regina, Jimmy Peters, and his wife Carolynn; multiple nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews; one uncle, Charlie Ballou and his wife Brenda Ballou; and one aunt, Corine Chrz.

She is preceded in death by her parents; J.R and Freda Peters.

Deborah will forever reside in our hearts as she was such a beautiful loving part of our lives that will live on forever, until we meet again in heaven.
