Dennis Vance Barnes, of Tecumseh, Oklahoma, passed away Wednesday, November 23, 2022, in Shawnee, Oklahoma, at the age of 73 years young.
Dennis was born August 13, 1949, in Enid, Oklahoma to J. Edgar Barnes and Corinne (Parks).
Dennis is described as one of the purest and kindest souls to ever grace this world. He was always happy and outgoing and was adored by every child and baby lucky enough to encounter him. Dennis loved going to flea markets and thrift stores and had built himself an impressive collection of movies on VHS and music on cassette tapes. Dennis also took great joy in going to the casino on his birthday.
Dennis is preceded in death by his parents; J. Edgar Barnes and Corinne (Parks); sister, Jan Barnes, and brother, Steve Barnes.
He is survived by his brother Paul Barnes, of Oklahoma City; sisters, Nancy Patton of Shawnee and Peggy Russell, of Norman; nephews: Mike Brown (Misty) of Shawnee, Damian (Charlotte) Russell, of Blanchard, Jacob Barnes, of Hinton and niece Joanna Barnes, of Hinton; As well as, many great-nephews, great-nieces, and friends.
The family gives Dr. Tony Haddad an extra special "thank you" for the care and compassion he gave to Dennis. Dennis was not dealt a fair hand in this life, but Dr. Tony Haddad treated him and his family with the kindness and respect that should always be given.
A graveside service and urn burial will be held at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Oklahoma City, at a later date.
