Dennis Giles Siglin (62) went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday morningOctober 8th 2023. Born on January 1st, 1961 to Giles and Corene Siglin in Norman Oklahoma. He attended Norman Public Schools from kindergarten to high school where he graduated from Norman High School in 1979. Growing up Dennis was a Boy Scout, he played peewee football and in high school Dennis was apart to the orchestra and played the string bass. In October on 1979 Dennis began working for the Oklahoma Department of Transportation as a surveyor. Over his 38 year career with ODOT he held many titles from surveyor all the way to assistant engineering manager of Edmond residency division 4, which is the title he held when he retired in October of 2017. Dennis met Patti, the love of his life, in 1989. They later married on March 2nd 1991. After they Married they had two children Garrison and Abigail. Dennis was an ordained deacon and enjoyed running the sound board for anything, from Sunday morning church service to weddings to Christmas specials. He was a member of Northeast Baptist Church where he served as a member of the media team where he ran the sound faithfully every Sunday morning. Dennis was a man of few words unless he was sharing his “dad wisdom” with anyone who needed it. Dennis also enjoyed making knifes with deer and elk antlers. Over the years Dennis and his family took many trips all over the United States from Mount Rushmore, to Washington D.C, to the Rockies Mountains, to right in our back yard to the lIttle town of Tishomingo, Oklahoma.
Dennis is preceded in death by Father Giles Siglin, maternal and paternal grandparents, Brother-in-law Jerry Price, and Father-in-law and mother in law Tim and Leeann Smith.
Dennis is survived by his loving wife Patti Siglin of the home, son Garrison Siglin of Norman, daughter Abbey Siglin of Norman, one granddaughter, Mother Corene Siglin of Norman, sister Martha Price of Norman, sister Tammy (Doug) Rhue of Ft. Worth, brother in law Michael (Angela) Smith of Norman. Many nieces and nephews as well as several adopted family members.
Celebration of life service will be held at Bethel Baptist Church, 1717 W Lindsey st. Norman, OK. At 11:00 am on Saturday October 14th 2023
