Donna C Cannon

Chris Cannon of Shawnee, Oklahoma, passed away on February 25, 2025, in Seminole, Oklahoma, at the age of 69.

Chris was born on January 27, 1956, in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of Arvy Alvin and Betty Lee (Pittman) Dennis. she graduated from Pauls Valley High Schools in 1974.  Following her education, she married Jacky Butts in 1974, and they made their home in Pauls Valley. In 1979 She moved to Shawnee, Oklahoma, and began working for Connie Mack Insurance. She later began working for Cracker Barrel and Braums where she was a manager. On June 28, 1980, she married Tim Cannon, and they made their home in Shawnee. Donna loved Nascar, she was mom to everyone and loved spending time with her grandchildren. On December 1, 2024, Tim preceded her in death.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; Arvy and Betty Dennis; and two brothers, Ronnie Dennis, and Terry Dennis.

She is survived by one son, Jason Butts of Shawnee; one daughter, Alicia Brisson and husband Dan of Shawnee; three grandchildren, Brody Butts, Jack Brisson and Nate Brisson; one brother, Lee Dennis and wife Debbie of Pauls Valley; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be on Monday, March 3, 2025, from 5:00 pm till 7:00 pm at the McElyea and Owens Funeral Home.

Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, March 4, 2025, at 2:00 pm at Resthaven Memorial Park.
