Douglas “Kip” Cudd of Meeker, Oklahoma, passed away on Thursday, July 11, 2024, in Meeker, Oklahoma, at the age of 68 years.
Douglas “Kip” Cudd was born on November 11, 1955, Guymon, Oklahoma. He was the son of Roy Earl and Alvanell (Eakins) Cudd. He grew up in Texhoma, Texas, attending Texhoma Public Schools graduating from Texhoma High School in 1974. He then furthered his education at Midwest Christian College for two years, he then attended Southeastern State University. On August 14, 1976, he married Diane Montgomery in Texhoma, Oklahoma, and they made their home in Kingston, Oklahoma. He began working for his family in his parent’s bait and tackle shop. He then worked for a construction company in Dallas, Texas, for one year. He returned to Kingston and began working for Madill Auto Parts Supply until 1985. In 1985 they moved to Meeker and began working for an Auto Parts Store in Oklahoma City and later worked for Tinker Air Force Base and in 1989 he began working for AutoZone in Shawnee. He later sold Kar Products to auto shops and began driving for Knight Transportation. He enjoyed fishing, riding motorcycles with the Christian Ministry Association and riding to Braums, and he loved spending time with his family. He was a member of the Meeker Assembly of God Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Patricia Smith; one infant sister; and 3 infant brothers.
He is survived by his wife Diane of Meeker; three sons, Brandon Dane Cudd and wife Emily of Bellevue, Nebraska; Ryan Tyson Cudd of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; Kenton Rory Cudd and wife Olivia of Shawnee, Oklahoma; nine grandchildren, Amya, Gabe, Wyatt, Mercy Micah, Selah, Tatum, Troy, and Willow; one sister in law, Laura Gil and husband Ramon of Lawton, Oklahoma; and brother in law, John Montgomery and wife Vicki of Tolono, Illinois.
A Celebration of Life is scheduled on Sunday, July 21, 2024, at 2:00 pm at the Meeker Assembly of God Church, with Pastor Bill Forman officiating.
