Fredde Anthony Hertzig of Holdenville, Oklahoma, passed away on February 12, 2023, Holdenville at the age of 72 years.
Fredde Anthony Hertzig was born on November 25, 1950, in Alameda, California. He was the son of Lon Fredde and Hazel Lucille (Miller) Hertzig. Fredde loved God, his family and doing ministry. He loved every kind of music. He loved telling bad jokes and you couldn’t help yourself from laughing because he enjoyed the telling so much. He’d been everywhere and had friends in every corner of America. He was fearless and adventurous. He was a patriot and served his country in Viet Nam as a righthand door gunner. He didn’t have a great formal education, but he was incredibly smart and mechanically talented. He frequently performed random acts of kindness and made new friends along his journey. He was stubborn as a mule and strong as an ox. He didn’t tolerate nonsense and he would say that he’s being rewarded in heaven, not to be sad but live a Godly life.
Fredde was preceded in death by his father, Lon Fredde Hertzig; his mother, Hazel Lucille (Miller) Harmon; two sisters: Sandra “Sandy” Diane Parenteau, and Susanne Isabel Moore ; his brother, Lonnie “Joe” Charles Hertzig.
He is survived by his wife, Shawndel Hertzig of the home; his daughter: Sherri Lynn Hertzig-Wojtowicz;
Two brothers: Patrick (Pat) Marshall Emerson Hertzig, and John Michael (Mike) Hertzig; three sisters: Sydney (Sissy) Brogdon, Cindy Unrah, Roxanne (Rockie) Harmon; his granddaughter: Tiffany Brown ;
Two grandsons, Kevin Scott Brown, and Michael Allen Brown; six great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
