Gary Dee Watts, a resident of Prague, Oklahoma passed away in Oklahoma City, OK on Monday March 23, 2026 at the age of 69. Gary was born on July 21, 1956 in Mesa, Arizona to Gerald Max Watts and Alyce Faye Watts.
At an early age, Gary moved with his family to Missouri for a short time before settling in Oklahoma. As kids, while Chris enjoyed playing mom, the boys were rowdy, doing things like hanging Joe in the barn with bailing twine and fighting uptown. He attended school in Henryetta, Prague, and Earlsboro as a standout athlete in many sports. Gary was a man known for his toughness, independence, and unwavering dedication. He lived a life defined by service, hard work, and quiet loyalty. He was a proud marine and Vietnam War Veteran. He lived throughout his life by honor, courage, and commitment - values shaped by his military service. After his service, he continued to serve his community as a police officer, protecting and helping others with the same steadfastness that defined him. Later, he spent many years working in the oilfield, tackling demanding work with grit and determination and retired having earned the respect of all who knew him.
Gary was a man of independence, often a loner by nature, but those closest to him knew he had a deep, unwavering love for his family. He may not have expressed his feelings openly but he was always there when it mattered most, offering support in his own distinct way. He had a sharp, inquisitive mind, enjoying conspiracy theories and the freedom of riding motorcycles whenever he could.
