Henry Jay Witt III, a resident of McLoud, OK, passed from this life on Wednesday, February 26, 2025 in McLoud at the age of 65. Henry was born on March 14, 1959 in Hugoton, Kansas to Henry Jesse Witt II and Myrna Jean (Dysinger) Witt.
Henry married the love of his life, Lisa Renee Smith on October 18, 1980 in Missouri. They remained happily married until Lisa's death in 2011 after enjoying 30 years together.
Henry worked as a truck driver for many years for a number of trucking companies. He was a member of the Church of Christ and he was a Christian. Most of all Henry was a loving son, husband, father, and grandfather and he will be missed by his family and friends.
He is preceded in death by both his mother and father; his wife, Lisa Renee Witt who died February 1, 2011; and by a sister, Stacye Bradley Witt in 2023.
Henry is survived by his daughter, Leah Witt Easton and husband Brandon Shannon of Canon City, CO; a son, Henry Witt and wife Bernadette Witt of McLoud, OK; by two sisters, Rebecca Dunn and husband Brant of Pueblo, CO and Deborah Clark and husband Rod of Rye, CO; a brother, Daniel Witt and wife Karen of Pueblo West, CO; two grandchildren, Jordan Ann Easton and Bryson Easton; his two dogs, Boone and Doobie; other extended family and many good friends.
A Memorial Service for Henry will be held in Colorado at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to McElyea & Owens Funeral Group of Shawnee.
