James K. Calvert

James (Jimmy) K. Calvert, Jr., stepped into heaven September 28, 2023 in Shawnee, OK. He was born October 9, 1944, in Pueblo, CO. He graduated from high school in Castle Rock, CO, and attended Northern Oklahoma Junior College in Tonkawa, OK, where he met Linda Ratliff of Red Rock. They married July 17, 1965, in Houston, TX, where they lived 55 years before moving to Oklahoma in November 2020. Jimmy earned a BA in Business Communications from University of Houston.

Jimmy is survived by his wife Linda, 2 sisters-in-law, Louise and husband George Roberts of Renton, WA, Barbara and husband James Anderson of Shawnee, OK, 2 nieces, 2 nephews, and 5 great nieces and nephews. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Lucille Calvert of Pasadena, TX, and Linda’s parents, Bertsel and Thelma Ratliff of Perry, OK.

A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, October 6, 2023 at Ceres Cemetery, Red Rock, OK. A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, October 10, 2023 at Southern Hills Baptist Church Chapel. Memorials may be sent to Southern Hills Baptist Church Missions Fund.
