Jeremy Scott Sims, a resident of Oklahoma City, passed away on Wednesday, March 15, 2023 in Oklahoma City at the age of 43 after an extended and courageous battle with cancer.
Jeremy was born on November 7, 1979 in Greenville, South Carolina to Gerald Lee Sims and Marsha (Thompson) Sims Taylor. Jeremy attended school in Wyoming and graduated from Rock Springs High School. He later extended his education where he received chef training as he prepared for his future in the restaurant industry.
Jeremy married Monic Richardson. He shared his life with his bride and two daughters, Frankie Sims and Jonika Sims. Jeremy is survived by his father, Gerald Lee Sims of Shawnee; and his mother, Marsha Taylor of Oklahoma City.
He is preceded in death by a brother, Jonathan Sims.
Services for Jeremy will be held at a later time. Arrangements were handled by McElyea & Owens Funeral Group.
