Jimmye Leroy Pollard, Junior was born on Wednesday, February 23, 1949 at 7:38 a.m. in Ponca City, Oklahoma to Jimmye Leroy Pollard Senior and Ora Alyce Moses Pollard. He was the oldest of ten. J.P. transitioned on Tuesday, August 19, 2025 at 8:05 a.m. at his residence.
Jimmye (J.P.) received his education in the Oklahoma School System from the first grade through the twelfth grade. J.P. was employed by Midwest Dairy, Ponca City Sanitation Department, Lambert Landscape, and Horchow.
J.P. was preceded in death by his wife of 27 years, Katherine (Doll) Durham Pollard, his parents Jimmye Leroy Pollard Senior and Ora Alyce Moses Pollard, his brother Edward (Butch) Burnett Pollard, maternal and paternal grandparents, three brothers-in-law, four sisters-in-law, one nephew, and one niece.
J.P. is survived by two daughters, Stephanie Dian Meekling and Alicia Marie (Patrick) Davis; three grandchildren, Ciara Ford, Miles Meekling, and Miya Meekling.
His surviving siblings include three brothers: Raymond C. Pollard, Luiz K. (Cindy) Pollard, and Steven R. (Pam) Pollard. He has five surviving sisters: Donna L. Springsteen, Ruth Mary (Carl) Davis, Penny E. Pollard, Ann Pollard, and Susan E. Wade. He is also survived by two aunts, Eunice Speight and Susie Winslow, and a host of family and friends.
