Joshua Montgomery Perkins of Shawnee, Oklahoma, passed away on September 14, 2024, in Shawnee, Oklahoma, at the age of 19 years.
Joshua Montgomery Perkins was born on November 30, 2004, in Shawnee, Oklahoma. He was the son of Christopher Perkins and Amy (Lee) Perkins. He grew up in Shawnee attending Shawnee Public Schools, graduating from Shawnee High School in 2024. He enjoyed playing baseball, basketball and fishing. He also enjoyed talking on the phone with his girlfriend and was an avid Green Bay Packers fan. He attended Liberty Baptist Church and later Immanuel Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his father, Christopher Perkins; his great grandparents; his maternal grandparents, Donna and Richard Tibbs; and his paternal grandparents, Thomas and Naydene Perkins.
He is survived by his mother and father, Amy and Joshua Cowan of Shawnee; three brothers, Jake Perkins of Shawnee, Dawson wife Shelby Lee of Harrah, Oklahoma, and Aiden Cowan of Shawnee; His maternal grandparents, Craig Lee and Deborah Hill of Shawnee; four aunts, Cindy Jackson, Mandy Vickery, Courtney Cowan, and Kayley and Trevor Keen; two uncles, Richard Tibbs, and Jake and Kacia Cowan; memaw, Vickie Cowan; his girlfriend, Shelby Missler of Shawnee; many nieces nephews and cousins.
The family would like to thank Joshua’s high School Teacher Mrs. Dame, and Aveanna Medical Solutions for all the help and support they have given to Joshua.
