Julie Williams Obituary

Julie Joann (Porter) Williams passed away at her home in Oklahoma City on November 10, 2025 at the age of 56. Julie was born on December 8, 1968 in Flint, Michigan to James Earl Porter and Betty (Thompson) Porter.

Julie attended school in Oklahoma and graduated from Harrah High School. Following high school, Julie went to work serving veterans who needed living and/or medical assistance following their military service careers. She was very committed to the honorable work of serving veterans.
Julie loved her family and she will be remembered as a loving daughter, mother, sister, and aunt.

She is preceded in death by her father, James Earl Porter; a niece, Kaylee Augustine; her maternal grandparents, Wesley and Stella Thompson; and paternal grandparents, Earl and Louise Porter.

Julie leaves behind to cherish her memory her mother, Betty Porter of Oklahoma City; a daughter, Katie Beights of Oklahoma City; a son, Preston Personette of Eufaula, OK; 4 sisters, Barbara Augustine and husband Scott of Pangburn, Arkansas, Donna Miller Hunter and husband Joe of Newalla, OK, Jeannie Postert and husband Scott of Spring Branch, TX, and Jimmie Monroe and husband Corey of McLoud; a niece, Charlee Augustine of Llamo, TX; 4 special and beloved dogs, Lucy, Country, Darlo and Jethrow; other extended family and many good friends.

Following cremation, the family will hold a celebration of life service at a later date.
