Julius Edwards

Julius “Juice” Edwards of Shawnee, Oklahoma, departed this life on February 19, 2025, in Shawnee, Oklahoma, at the age of 70 years.

Julius “Juice” Edwards was born on December 2, 1954, in Eloy, Arizona. He was the son of Lawrence and Eliza (Davis) Edwards. He grew up in Brooksville, Oklahoma, attending Macomb Public Schools graduating from Macomb High School in 1973. He furthered his education at Murray State College where he played Baseball, he then went to Oklahoma State University where he majored in computers. Following his education, he began working various jobs in Stillwater until he was hired at Armstrong Flooring working there until he retired in 2008. Shortly after he retired he moved to Shawnee to be closer to his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Eliza; one siter, Gloria; and four brothers, Lawton, Lawrence Jr., Larry and Leslie Edwards.

He is survived by and one daughter, Rachel Horschler and husband Kyle; one son, Cameron Edwards and wife Mindy; two grandsons, Talon Horschler, and Elliott Edwards; four brothers. Bill Edwards and wife Susie, Johnny Edwards, Louie Edwards and wife Rhonda, and Franklin Edwards and wife Patricia; two sisters, Lydian Holloway and husband James, and Valerie Bridgewater and husband Odie; several nieces, nephew, and many friends.

The family of Julius “Juice” Edwards would like to thank everyone for their thoughts, prayers, calls, texts, and words of encouragement, may God Bless you all.

A Celebration of Life is scheduled for March 22, 2025, from 12:00 pm till 3:00 pm at the Shawnee Community Center, 804 South Park Street, Shawnee, Oklahoma 74801, lunch will be provided at the community center.
