Kimberly Craig Obituary

Kimberly Lorene Craig, 63, was born on May 12, 1960, in Biloxi, Mississippi. She married Dennis Craig on January 17, 1978. Kimberly was an amazing mother to 5 beautiful children. She was a loving, selfless mother, anyone that knew her knew how proud she was of her kids. Kimberly had an extraordinary love and passion for the game of fast pitch softball.  She moved to Shawnee in 1989. A few years later Kimberly directed Shawnee Girls Softball Association and introduced fast pitch softball to the small town of Oklahoma. She later went on to start a Faster Image Softball Organization in 1996 where she coached and instructed fast pitch athletes across the state of Oklahoma. She retired in 2012, however the Faster Image Softball organization continues to inspire and teach young women the game of fast pitch softball and integrity still today as her daughter continues to instruct and teach the game of softball. Kimberly was a woman of hard work and integrity. She overcame many tough obstacles in her life, but no matter what she was facing she remained humble and selfless. Kimberly found her most joy in her children, grandchildren, the lake, and the game of fast pitch softball. She loved good coffee and comfy pajamas.

Kimberly inspired, enriched, and changed the lives of thousands of young ladies. There will never be another Coach Kim, the impact and lasting impression she left on so many young women across the state of Oklahoma. She was the true definition of a legend with her own unique style of coaching. She taught so much more than   softball and nick named every student and player, and Coach Kim could come up with some nicknames.

She was Preceded in death by her father William E Hall JR, Mother Kathryn Hall, and brother William E Hall.

She is survived by her 5 children; Jennifer Craig of OKC, Maranda Craig of MWC, Kayleigh Craig of Harrah, Caleb Craig of Shawnee, Cole Craig and wife Rebekah of Del City; 6 grandchildren, Sarayah Wright, Terry Wright Jr and Kaide Wright, Jazalynn White, Kyndalynn Upshaw, Annabelle Applebee; one brother, Tracy Hall of Choctaw; nieces, nephews, and friends.

Kimberly will be truly missed, and this world lost a true legend, a selfless mother, loving grandmother, extraordinary woman, and an inspirational coach.

“For the love of the game”

- Coach Kim Craig
