Lee Johnston Obituary
LeeRoy Johnston, a resident of Shawnee, Oklahoma passed away on December 11, 2025 at the age of 77. He was born in Wewoka, Oklahoma to Roy Franklin Johnston and Dorothy (Merriman) Johnston. LeeRoy raduated from Seminole High School in 1968.
After high school, LeeRoy entered the US Army in 1969. He served a tour of duty in Viet Nam before his honorable discharge in 1971. His last work position was as a supervisor for Gilt Edge Farms, managing delivered of dairy products. He was preceded in death by both his father and his mother, and his grandparents.
LeeRoy is survived by his daughter, April Woods and husband, Johnny Woods, Jr of Harrah; son, Shawn Johnston and wife Christian of Broken Arrow; son, Shannon Johnston and wife Tracy Johnston of Inola; 7 grandchildren, Kyle Johnston, Shelton Johnston, Annabelle Johnston,Shane Johnston, Shea Johnston-Bennett, Kailee Johnston Ella Woods, and Harper Woods; 11 Great Grandchildren. He was a great son, brother, uncle, grandfather and daddy.
A memorial service will be held at Fort Gibson National Cemetery in Fort Gibson Oklahoma December 18, 2025 at 1:30pm under the direction of McElyea & Owens Funeral Group of Shawnee.
