Leon McDonald’s Obituary

Leon McDonald died peacefully in his home on Saturday, July 27 in Roff, Oklahoma at the age of 80. Leon was born on January 28, 1944 in Sulphur, Oklahoma to James Otto and Annie Lou McDonald. He graduated from Mill Creek High School in 1962. He married Ada Dickens on June 15, 1967.

After moving to Texas the two of them started a roofing company together. Over the course of seven years the couple welcomed three beautiful children into their home. Together the two of them taught their children carpentry skills and how to live life on their own. His children remember him as a determined father who encouraged them to pursue their goals.

Leon enjoyed sneaking off to attend an auction and would often bring home a new goat. He was a dedicated farmer and enjoyed sitting outside under a shade tree watching his animals graze. He was a member of Shepards Chapel and would spend his mornings watching Pastor Murray on the television.
