Lindell Clifford Standlee, a resident of Meeker, Oklahoma, passed away with his family at his side in the early morning hours of September 1, 2022 in Oklahoma City at the age of 69. Lindell was born on July 9, 1953 in Shawnee, Oklahoma to Melvin Clifford Standlee and Elvesta (Ellison) Standlee.
After Lindell served in the military branch of the US Army, Lindell worked most of his adult life as a heavy equipment operator and was retired. He loved to move dirt and the challenges of heavy equipment operation. Lindell married the love of his life, Cassie L. Henderson on August 31, 1985 in Prague, Oklahoma. They remained happily enjoined for 37 years prior to his death. Lindell loved to sing and play his guitar and was an enthusiast of Elvis Presley songs.
Lindell was preceded in death by his father, Melvin Clifford Standlee; his mother-in-law, Lola Yaryan and by two sisters-in-law, Cindy Standlee and Jaylene Standlee.
He is survived by his wife, Cassie Standlee of the home in Meeker, his mother of 94 years, Elvesta Standlee of Meeker; two daughters, Tammy Turner and husband Chad of Tuttle, Oklahoma and Felicia Standlee-Ingle of Bethany, Oklahoma; four sons, Lindell W. Standlee & wife Amy of Meeker, Larry Millican & wife Maria of Chandler, Shawn Standlee & wife Ashley of Meeker, and Landen Millican of Meeker; two brothers, Darrell Standlee of Meeker and Gaylon Standlee of Meeker, one sister, Laveda Standlee of Shawnee; 21 grandchildren, Josh Standlee, Taylor Wood and husband Michael, Jake Standlee and wife Meghan, Austin Roberts, Nick Cagle and fiance' Macey Pittman, Anna Standlee, Jordan Tash, Vincent Tash, Michael Brown & wife Kelsha, Caleb Turner, Colin Turner, Rachael Standlee, Madilyne Devereaux, Jade Devereaux, Ali Standlee, Lillianne Ingle, Landen Millican, Maddox Millican, Rylee Standlee, Walt Bias, and Jace Bias; 7 great grandchildren, Odin Wood, Talon Askew, Archer Wood and Pearcy Pittman, Daxton Brown, Hartley Brown, and Abbi Standlee; and by several other extended family and many good friends.
Viewing for Lindell will be held on Monday, September 5, 2022 from 3pm to 8pm at McElyea & Owens Funeral Group, 5106 N. Harrison in Shawnee.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 6, 2022 at 10:00am at the Church of Christ in Prague, Oklahoma and will be officiated by Palmer Smith. Interment will follow immediately at Rossville Cemetery under the direction of McElyea & Owens Funeral Group.
Pallbearers will be Josh Standlee, Jake Standlee, Landen Millican, Nick Cagle, Austin Roberts, and Michael Brown. Honorary Pallbearers will be Jade Devereaux, Vincent Tash, Walt Bias, Jace Bias, Caleb Turner and Colin Turner
