Melodie Ann Beauchamp

Melodie Ann Beauchamp, 67, passed away on July 7, 2023 following a protracted battle with cancer. A celebration of Melodie’s life is scheduled for 2:00 PM on July 22, 2023 at Emmanuel Episcopal Church in Shawnee, Oklahoma.

Melodie was born on January 25, 1956 to Jack and Betty Henderson in Shawnee, Oklahoma. She was raised in Shawnee where she graduated from Shawnee High School. She continued her education at the University of Central Oklahoma where she earned a bachelor’s degree in education. Melodie pursued a career in early childhood education and dedicated herself to teaching until her retirement in 2018.

Melodie’s life was guided by her faith and her devotion to those around her. She was a member of Emmanuel Episcopal Church where she served on the altar guild, taught Sunday School, and orchestrated Vacation Bible School each year. She shared her child like faith with everyone she encountered.

Melodie was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Betty. She is survived by her husband of 45 years, James Larry Beauchamp, her sons Sean and Jon Beauchamp, her sister Brenda Miles, her brother Jack W. Henderson, her grandson Dodge Beauchamp, and her granddaughters Lily and Hailey Beauchamp.
