Norman Patrick "Pat" Martin, known to his loved ones as Pat, passed away peacefully on July 09, 2023, at the age of 76. He was residing at the Washita Valley Living Center in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma at the time of his passing.
Born on July 21, 1946, in Oklahoma County, Oklahoma, Pat was the son of Iona and Joe Martin. He grew up alongside his siblings, JoEllen, Ronnie, David and Clyde. Pat is survived by his children; Roy, Floyd, Cynthia, Patrick, and LaTonya. Several grandchildren and great grandchildren also survive Pat. Pat was preceded in death by his mother, Iona (Brand) Turner, his father, Joe Martin, brother Clyde Martin, long-time partner Barbara Steudler, stepfather Ray Turner, and his biological father, Norman Fuller.
Pat was a dedicated truck driver until his retirement. However, his true passion and greatest accomplishment in life was taking care of his family. Known for his kind and gentle nature, Pat was always willing to lend a helping hand. He had a remarkable ability to connect with everyone and never met a stranger.
A man of faith, Pat was passionate about seeking the truth and always sought to honor God. He found solace in his favorite Bible verse, Psalms 83:18, which reads, "May people know that you, whose name is Jehovah, You alone are the Most High over all the earth." Pat's dedication to his faith was evident in his actions and his unwavering commitment to helping those in need.
Pat had a playful side and was known for his mischievous nature. He had a few favorite phrases that brought joy to those around him, including "On into the sunset, YEEHAW!!!" and "Goodnight Y'all."
A Celebration of Life will be held in honor of Pat on August 5, 2023, from 2:00 P.M. thru 5:00 P.M. at Lambuth Memorial UMC located at 3823 South Shields Blvd. Oklahoma City, Oklahoma 73129. All who wish to celebrate Pat's life are welcome to attend.
