Norvel (Butch) Allen Garlington Jr, 75, of Ada Oklahoma, received his wings on August 7th, 2024, after a life lived in loving kindness and in making people smile. Known for working in the oil field then tinkering on cars, being involved with Boys Scouts, Masonic Lodge, and being a clown or Santa for Shriners. Norvel was a beacon of light and touched the lives of everyone he met.
Preceded in death by his parents, Norvel Allen Garlington Sr. and Winnifred Lorraine (Capstick) Garlington. His brother-in-law Larry Lam Sr, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He leaves a legacy through his wife of 55 precious years, Barbara Ann (Nobert) Garlington of Ada, OK; daughter and son in law Sabrina and Robert Cameron of Maud; son and daughter in law Matthew and Kiara Garlington of Maud; 3 cherished granddaughters, Audreana Cameron of Palm Beach Gardens FL, Natasha Cameron of Moore OK, and Savanna Garlington of Maud; sister Patricia Lam of Shawnee OK, 3 nephews and their families.
In Remembrance, there will be a Celebration of Life service on August 31, 2024, at 2:00 pm, at the Maud First Baptist Church.
