Patricia Caruthers

Patricia “Trish” Jean Caruthers of Norman, Oklahoma, passed away on December 14, 2021, in Norman at the age of 68.

Patricia Jean Caruthers was born on March 26, 1953, in Long Beach, California.  She was the daughter of Beverly Placker and John Sullivan.  She grew up in Boron, California and graduated from Boron High School.  In 1971, Trish moved from Boron to Norman, Oklahoma where she lived the remainder of her life.  On May 15, 1993, Trish married Mike Caruthers and they made their home in Norman.  Trish worked in office management until a medical condition prevented her from working further.  At that time, Trish became a full-time homemaker.  Trish enjoyed cooking and baking but spending time with her family was the passion of her life.  She spent a great deal of her time caring for nieces and nephews which were like her own children. 

She was preceded in death by her parents and her father-in-law. 

She is survived by her husband, Mike Caruthers, of Norman; one sister, Kathy Kelso and husband, Keith of Norman; three brothers, Mike Sullivan and wife, Kim of Grove, OK; Kevin Sullivan of Knoxville, TN; and David Placker and wife, Julie of Norman; her Mother-in-law, Sylvia “Bunny” Caruthers of Chickasha, OK; two sisters-in-law, Debbie Halfast and husband Kent of Azele, TX; Marsha Stidham and husband Ronnie of Chickasha, OK; numerous beloved nieces and nephews.
