Obituary

Patricia Mae Joyner passed away on Saturday, March 11, 2023, at 77 years young.

Patricia was born on May 2, 1945, as Patricia Mae McNatt to parents Freda Mae (Turney) and Ernest McNatt in Santa Cruz, California.

Patricia loved her family and made her life being a dutiful mother and wife. After her first marriage, Patricia married Butch Joyner in 1978. Together, Patricia and Butch loved to travel and visit the casino. Being the professional homemaker that she was, everyday was like a holiday when it came to meal time. Patricia loved to cook and bake for her family and always made a feast. Holidays, of course, were extra special for Patricia and she went all out with themed meals, cookies, and treats. Cooking was Patricia’s love language and her food was extra delicious because it was full of extra love.

Patricia is preceded in death by her parents, Freda and Ernest McNatt; husband, Butch Joyner; son, Steven Hancock; and brothers, Mike McNatt, Kenny McNatt, and Phil McNatt.

Patricia is survived by daughters, Shelly (Matthew) Vanderlei, of Newalla, Oklahoma, Sherry (Craig) Ruhman, of California; son, John Hancock, of Newalla, Oklahoma; sister, Rosie (Dixie) Sanders, of California; brother, Ernie McNatt, of California; grandchildren, Ashley Vanderlei, Brittan Vanderlei, Jenny VanBrunt, Justin Ruhman, Amanda Hancock, Melany Hancock, and many great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

No services will be held at this time.
