Penny Williams

Penny Susan (Penn) Williams, a resident of Choctaw, Oklahoma, passed away on Saturday, November 9, 2024 in Oklahoma City at the age of 75. She was born on March 29, 1949 in Frankfurt, KY to Jack Penn and Geneva (Slagle) Penn.

Penny was married to the love of her life, Dudley Williams on November 6, 1976 in Orlando, Florida. They remained happily married for 28 years until Dudley's death in 2004.

Penny attended college at Western Kentucky University, where she earned a bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems. Following her marriage to Dudley, she moved to Oklahoma where she went to work for the Oklahoma Tax Commission as an application programer. After several years, she became an application director at the Oklahoma Tax Commission, before eventually retiring in 2008. Penny attended the Methodist Church. She was always an enthusiast of the Kentucky Derby, as she grew up in Kentucky. She was a loving daughter, mother and grandmother and she will be remembered by the many people who knew and loved her.

Penny was preceded in death by her husband Dudley, who died in 2004; and by both her father and her mother.

She is survived by a son, David Williams of Choctaw; a daughter, Nancy Toole and husband Damien Toole of Choctaw; and three grandsons, Asher Toole, Silas Toole, and Kannon Toole; and by other extended family and many good friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family has designated the American Cancer Society, 3380 Chastain Meadows Parkway NW, Suite 200, Kennesaw, GA 30144 as appropriate for memorial contributions.

The family has indicated they will have a memorial service at a later date. Once those arrangements are set, the funeral home will post the time and date of the scheduled service.
