Raymond L Stagaard

Raymond Lincoln Stagaard, a longtime resident of McLoud, OK passed away on April226, 2023 in McLoud at the age of 84. Raymond was born on February 12, 1939 in New Jersey. He grew up in New Jersey and attended school there, graduating from High School.

After High School he joined the US Army where he faithfully served. Following his military discharge, Raymond went to work as an aircraft mechanic with Tinker Air Force Base. He also spent time there as a master electrician.

Raymond married the love of his life, Sharon Ann Bryce on April 13, 1992 at Hazel Dell Baptist Church. They remained together for 30 years until Sharon's death on November 24, 2021. Raymond attended Hazel Dell Baptist Church. He loved to work on cars. And even after his retirement from Tinker AFB, he could always be seen working outside every day. Above all, Raymond loved his family. He was a loving father, son, and brother and he will be missed by everyone who knew and loved him.

Raymond was preceded in death by his mother and father; and by numerous brothers and sisters.

He is survived by his sons, Wayne Alexander of McLoud and Troy Alexander of Shawnee; by a granddaughter, Chloe Alexander of Texas; step-grandson, Justin Drake of Shawnee; and great granddaughter, Lynnix Grace Drake and a great grandson, Brantley Ellis; by numerous other extended family and many good friends.

Following cremation, a memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements were under the direction of McElyea & Owens Funeral Group.
