Roger Lee Walia Feola, a resident of Oklahoma City, OK passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 5, 2023 in Oklahoma City at the age of 78. Roger was born on November 13, 1944 in Honolulu, Hawaii. Roger's family moved to Lakeport, California as a young boy. He attended Lakeport Public Schools and graduated from high school at Lakeport High School.
Roger served for two years with the US Army and he served a tour of duty in Viet Nam. Upon his return to the U.S., Roger was honorably discharged from the Army. Roger received a sports scholarship to a junior college where he played college ball. He transferred to LIFE Bible College in Los Angeles, California to prepare himself for the ministry.
Roger married his true love, Marilyn Holthusen in Kearney, Nebraska on December 28, 1966. They remained happily married for 48 years until Marilyn died in July, 2014. Roger and Marilyn were both longtime members of Four Square Church in Kearney, Nebraska as well.
He is preceded in death by his mother and father; two brothers, David Feola and Anthony Feola; a sister, Alberta Williams; by two babies, George and baby Feola.
Roger is survived by his two daughters, Joy Norris and husband Scott of Oklahoma City and Rachelle Feola of Florida; sisters-in-law, Vivian Feola and Gwen Caldwell; a brother-in-law, Dale Holthusen; by five grandchildren, Blake, Preston, Trinity, Kilinoe, and KeoMaikalani and 3 great grandchildren; other extended family and many good friends.
Roger was beloved by his family. He was an exceptional son, brother, husband, father, and grandfather and he will be missed by his many family members and friends.
Following cremation, a service will be held in Hawaii. As soon as the date and place is finalized we will update with service information. Arrangements are under the direction of McElyea & Owens Funeral Group of Shawnee, Oklahoma.
