Ronda Allensworth Obituary

Ronda Ann (Power) Allensworth passed from this life July 3rd 2024 in her favorite place on earth, her home, Seminole, OK.

For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day.  For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory.  2 Corinthians 4:16 &17

Ronda Ann (Power) Allensworth was born 24th of December 1950 in Pomona California to Ronald William Power and Billie Jean (Long) Minter.  Ronda and her family moved to Oklahoma in 1955 after the passing of her father Ronald.  Being the oldest child in the family Ronda developed a strong mothering attribute of adolescents with 5 younger brothers.  Ronda was a strong woman of faith from an early age. She and her mother would be cleaning their home while singing and humming church hems.  In the late 60’s Ronda was singing a special one eveningchurch service when an on looker notices how pretty she was in that white dress, years later August 6th 1971 Ronda married him in Bowlegs, OK.  The union between Bill and Ronda Allensworth brought her most prize possessions, her children Dahna Cheryl (Allensworth) Abbey and William Dane Allensworth.

Before Ronda was stricken with cancer her life was full with working at her church, making quilts, sewing, working in the hayfield alongside her family, school projects for her children and whatever her Grandsons’wanted kept her very busy.  On occasion she would take a road trip to places like Clarita for an Amish sale, or Frisco TX to shop, or Claremore to a museum. Of course there was always great place to eat and a fabric store on the way.  Oh Branson, Ronda and Bill would go several times a year.  Shows! Shows! Shows!

Ronda was a great cook.  She enjoyed cooking for groups in her home and for the church.  Some of her most memorable dishes would have to be her Corn Bread Dressing, Baked Beans, Coconut Cream/Chocolate Pies, Enchilada Casserole and home grown Steak. She tried making Chinese food once and that was all her family could handle.

Animal lover? Most defiantly!  Over the years she was the caretaker for any that showed up.  Orphan calves and kittens were raised in supreme health under her care.  Always kept a feeder in the backyard to make sure barn cats would stay close which fed every creature that was interested.  The last few months her sweet kitties stayed close watching over her as she rested returning their love to her.

When at times, she would be alone in extreme pain from bone cancer, she would be heard in prayer to her Lord and Savior.  She depended on her strength she got from God.  She knew the word of God and work to be a light to others.  Fight the good fight of the faith in the conflict with evil; that hold of eternal life to which you were called. 1 Timothy 6:12.  Her family are very certain, Ronda is now walking in eternity with the Lord.

Ronda was proceeding in death by her parents William Ronald Power and Billie Jean Minter.  Three brothers Johnny Power, Timothy Pullen and Neal Pullen.  Father in Law Boyce Allensworth Sr.

Ronda is survived by husband William “Bill” Allensworth of the home, Daughter Dahna Abbey husband David and Son William “Dane” Allensworth of Seminole.  Grandsons David Jackson “DJ” Abbey and Zane Abbey of Seminole.  Mother-in-law Dorma Allensworth.  Two brothers Wayne Pullen and Nathan Pullen of Shawnee.  Uncle Ernie Brauer and wife Lucy of Moore, OK. Nieces and Nephews in Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Texas which she loved deeply.  The Church Family of El Shaddai Temple Seminole, OK. Special dog Piper who enjoyed the rest of Ronda’s meals and her orphan kitties she raised Mama, Sasha and Tony of the home.
