Royetta June Wright, a resident of Shawnee, peacefully passed from this earthly life on Friday, April 7th at the age of 64. Royetta was born on April 19, 1958 in Arkadelphia, Arkansas to Owen CM Carpenter and Della June (McGuiness) Carpenter.
Royetta attended high school were she graduated in Fort Worth, Texas. Royetta was pursuing a nursing degree while she attended University of Central Oklahoma before health issues caused her to take some time away from her nursing. Royetta had the heart of a servant and worked for several years at Bethany Christian Academy and later Oklahoma Children's Hospital. She also attended the Bethany Church of God. Royetta was a beloved mother, daughter, sister, and aunt.
She will be missed by the many people who knew her and were touched through her care and friendship. As one of her favorite activities,Royetta loved to spend time with her beloved dog "Snoopy"
She is preceded in death by her mother and her father.
She is survived by two sons, Lee Wright of Shawnee and Keith Wright of Oklahoma City; by a sister, Linda Christianson and husband Don of Eugene, OR; by a brother, Wayne Carpenter and wife Janelle of Edmond; 2 nieces, Noel Carpenter and Laura Thompson; and a nephew Ethan Carpenter; as well as many other friends and extended family.
Following cremation, a service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of McElyea & Owens Funeral Group of Shawnee.
