Russell Anderson

Russell Don Anderson of Shawnee, Oklahoma, passed away on May 6, 2023, in Shawnee at the age of 62 years.

Russell Don Anderson was born on March 3, 1961, in Seminole, Oklahoma. He was the son of Wesley and Faye (McCoin) Anderson. He grew up in Earlsboro Oklahoma, where he attended Earlsboro Public Schools and graduated from Earlsboro High School. Following his education, he began his career at Tinker Air Force Base, retiring at twenty-five years. He later began working for Eaton Corporation, retiring in 2016. Russell loved to ride his Harley and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and football. Russell married Leslie Lecrone on May 24, 2014, and they made their home in Shawnee. Russell was a member of Taproot Church in Shawnee.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife, Leslie Anderson of Shawnee; one son, Justtin Anderson and fiancé Sarah Roy of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; two sisters, Melissa Bryan of Durant, Oklahoma, and Donna Marsh of Osceola, Arkansas; two brothers, Randall Anderson and wife Teresa Lee of Noble, Oklahoma, and Scott Anderson of Sulphur, Oklahoma; two step daughters, Laura Schmidt of Pink, Oklahoma, and Holly Genn of Shawnee, Oklahoma; many step grandchildren;  numerous cousins, aunts, uncles and friends; and two close friends that were like sisters, Tracy Loveland, Zeni Hubert.
