Shirley Ann (Jackson) Huey

Shirley Ann (Jackson) Huey, a resident of Oklahoma City, OK passed away on October 26, 2023 in Oklahoma City at the age of 75. Shirley was born on March 23, 1948 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Roy D. Jackson and Bessie (Downing) Jackson. Shirley grew up in Oklahoma City attending Oklahoma City Public Schools and graduated from Crooked Oak High School.

Following high school, Shirley married the love of her life, Thomas Lloyd Huey in Oklahoma City on November 11, 1966. They remained happily married for 57 years until her death.
Shirley loved to spend time with all her family. She was an exceptional daughter, mother, wife, and grandmother and she will be missed by the many who knew and loved her.

She is preceded in death by both her mother and father; by two brothers, Dale Jackson and Don Jackson; by two nephews, David Jackson and Shawn Jackson; and by a niece, Josie Cloud.

Shirley is survived by her husband, Thomas Lloyd Huey of Clinton, OK; two daughters, Tammy Huey of Norman, OK and Rebecca Downing and husband Steve of Edmond; a son, Ronnie Huey and wife Sarah of Moore; a brother, Roy D. Jackson and wife Lonna of Bridge Creek, OK; nine grandchildren, Michael Huey, Katie Castonguay, Caspian Marvin, Matthew Harrison, Justin Harrison, Bryce Harrison, Rylee Huey, Mason Huey, and an expectant baby Huey; and by 4 great grandchildren, Xander McLovin, Casen Harrison, Brayson Harrison, and Kamila Castonguay; as well as other extended family and many good friends.

A viewing for Shirley will be held on Tuesday, October 31, 2023 from 1pm to 5pm at McElyea & Owens Funeral Home, 5106 N Harrison, Shawnee, OK. Arrangements have been entrusted to McElyea & Owens Funeral Group of Shawnee.
