Loss of a loved one is never easy. Especially a loved one with which you walked through years of day to day life just prior to their passing. The missing of their simple presence can feel debilitating. The end of one life begins a whole new way of life for the survivor who remains. Only time and great efforts may soothe the pain.
Moment to moment, hour to hour, day to day, a new journey begins and it's anything but easy. The time after the loss of a loved one is very difficult to endure.
Mike and Robert, co-owners of McElyea and Owens Funeral, Cremation and Pre-Planning Services have combined 60 years professional experience helping others through this most difficult time.
An important part of the grieving and recovery process includes pushing oneself to be around the support of others. “Beginning Again” is a monthly gathering hosted by Mike and Robert which brings survivors together for a meal and refreshing fellowship. The time together with others who have gone through the grieving process or continue to seek restoration allows an individual a safe place to receive consolation and support.
There is no cost to attend “Beginning Again”. All are invited to come alone or bring a friend. Mike and Robert welcome you whether they have serviced you and your family or not.
Feel free to call, 405-695-5006, for more information on the next scheduled, “Beginning Again” gathering in Shawnee.
